Get StartedIEP STRONG Advocacy and Support by Ann Kippes
I will give advice on educational IEP services and suggest teaching methods, behavior strategies, accommodations and consult with you
on assistive technology. I will share my 20 years of expertise through the ins and outs of your local school system
and how to get the best plan and practices in place for your child.
Why An Advocate
A special education advocate is an educational professional who has knowledge of the special education process and state and federal special education laws.
Why Ann Kippes?
I am an advocate who understands the IEP process through the eyes of a mother, a special education teacher, general education teacher and an ARD facilitator who has served in both public and private schools for over 20 years. I have sat on all sides of the table.
An advocate provides support, encouragement, and information to parents.
Why Ann Kippes?
I work with parents and the school district to help secure appropriate educational services unique for your child. Family support is my number one quality.
The most important role of the special education advocate is as a teacher.
Why Ann Kippes?
I will help you and your child to develop skills that will continue to serve you long after the IEP Meeting. While serving as a special education teacher, I was awarded campus teacher of the year for the 2019-2020 school year, and I bring over 20 years of teaching experience.

About Me
I have Bachelor of Science in Education and have served in 8 school districts, both private and public, for over 20 years. My experience has included being a general education teacher, special education teacher, director of a special education program I developed, an ARD facilitator and a 1:1 behavior teacher.
I am also a mom of two amazing kids that taught me how to advocate for them, as we learned the ins and outs of navigating the school system, to help them get the tools they need to be successful. I have served on numerous leadership committees and have been honored with many awards and recognitions, the most recent being, Teacher of the Year at County Line Elementary for the 2019-2020 school year.
